Despite the understandable pessimism surrounding Arsenal this season, there’s still plenty to fight for.
Liverpool dropped more points in the Premier League last year, and Mikel Arteta’s side currently sits third in the Champions League table, well-positioned to progress to the next round without needing a playoff.
However, to give themselves the best chance of turning things around and adding another trophy to their collection, the Gunners must strengthen their attack. This is especially critical given their injury issues, particularly with Bukayo Saka expected to be sidelined for much of the season.
Fortunately, recent reports have once again linked Arsenal with an exciting winger—someone who has the ability to make a real impact and was even compared to Saka just last year.

Recent reports suggest that Arsenal are closing in on a deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
That said, he’s not the only Euro 2024 winner and La Liga star on the Gunners’ radar for 2025.
According to a recent report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via GIVEMESPORT, Arsenal have continued to show strong interest in Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams.
Romano states that Williams is “one of the most appreciated players on Arsenal’s list,” with Mikel Arteta and the club’s management highly valuing his skills and potential.
However, Romano also notes that the financial package required to secure his signature is “very expensive.” With Williams earning £169k per week, it could prove challenging for Arsenal to finalize a deal this window, especially since other reports have confirmed that his £50m release clause would need to be paid upfront.
While the transfer would be both complicated and costly, Williams’ immense talent and potential make him a player worth pursuing—especially given that he was compared to the brilliant Bukayo Saka last year.
