In his most recent transfer hint, Arsenal left back Kieran Tierney implied he might never play for the club again.
Tierney was finally permitted to leave ARSENAL for Real Sociedad after months of rumors, as the club decided he would not be involved in the plans for the upcoming season.
The Scotland international has had a respectable stint in La Liga, but his contract is coming to an end and many are wondering what the future holds for him at the Emirates.
Tierney has now spoken publicly about his concerns about his future at Arsenal, saying that he may never play for the club again and that he would be willing to leave during the transfer window if given the chance.
He told The Athletic, “There is every chance,” in response to a question regarding whether or not he had played in his final game for the Gunners. Check out the depth of the squad in that position right now. Vladimir Zinchenko, Jurie Timber, Takub Kiwior, and Takehiro Tomiyasu are in their team. It can accommodate four players. So I’m not being foolish; I know I’ll probably be leaving if everything is the same when I return.
Football, though, is full of surprises. William Saliba is an exceptional case in point; he returned after two productive seasons away on loan. Not often, though, do you encounter someone who played for four years, then left, and then returned to play.
Out of the ordinary occurrences have transpired. There is a spot for me if I return. To that end, I am ready for either.
Tierney is a reliable defender and a player who could bolster ARSENAL’s roster if necessary, but he is sure to attract interest from other clubs during the summer transfer window, and Arsenal might put that money toward other needs.
